About me

My background before training as a psychotherapist is in the third sector. I have a Master’s in Conflict Analysis and Resolution and I have worked in humanitarian aid, as well as homelessness and domestic violence organisations.

During the pandemic, I co-founded the Wren Project, a small charity which provides free, 1-1, listening support to people struggling with the emotional impact of autoimmune disease. I have alopecia and I know firsthand the power of therapeutic listening. It is this experience that prompted me to train to be a psychotherapist and extend this powerful offering to others.

As well as working as a therapist, I am a walker and a writer. Through walking I connect with nature and the beauty of this world. Writing helps me to slow down, pay attention, and make sense of what’s happening around me. It is both rewarding and challenging, but ultimately grounding and creative.

"...What I want to say is
that the past is the past,
and the present is what your life is,
and you are capable of choosing what that will be,
darling citizen.

So come to the pond
or the river of your imagination,
or the harbor of your longing,

And put your lips to the world.
and live
your life."
